• Precooling - The removal of field heat from vegetables almost immediately after harvesting is known as "precooling". This is the best way to achieve the most efficient method of controlling the ripening of vegetables. Precooling is an essential process for perishable produce (vegetables).
   
• Centralized services - By operating as a single point of sale, buyers and sellers each take advantage of an efficiently organized method of moving produce from the field to the market.
   
• Coordinated transportation - Mt. Pleasant Sales provides coordinated transportation to move our produce from the precooler to the market.
